Comprehensive Dental Services
At Jay Gronemyer, DMD, we offer a variety of comprehensive dental services to meet the needs of the Redmond community. Whether it’s time for your regular cleaning or you need extensive restorative work done, we’re here to help you have the smile you deserve.
Studies have shown that overall health is closely tied to dental health. Routine preventive care helps ensure that your teeth, gums, and jaw are healthy and helps us catch potential problems before they require more invasive treatment.
- Routine Cleanings & Exams
- Sealants & Fluoride Treatments
- Nightguards & Athletic Mouthguards
- Oral Cancer Screenings
“If you’ve experienced a trauma to your mouth or jaw, don’t suffer in pain until an available appointment. Call our office immediately! We reserve time in our schedule each day for emergencies, so you don’t have to just grin and bear it.”
There are times when preventive care isn’t enough to keep your teeth in good shape. Restorative procedures like fillings, crowns, and root canal therapy help get your teeth back in good health. We offer all of these procedures in our office, so you don’t have to drive all around town for appointments with specialists.
If we discover a cavity forming during an exam, we offer you two options for filling the cavity and restoring your tooth to health. Traditional amalgam fillings are silver in color. Composite fillings are tooth-colored, so they look more natural. They also require a less invasive procedure and leave behind more of the tooth’s healthy structure.
Cowns & Bridges
Crowns are placed on top of teeth that are cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged or weakened to add strength and prevent further damage. Our porcelain crowns are custom fabricated for a natural fit in your mouth and to match the color of your surrounding healthy teeth. For patients missing one or more teeth, bridges are often a great solution. Bridges attach to crowns that are placed on either side of the gap caused by missing teeth. The connecting bridge has false teeth in place of the missing teeth, restoring function and giving your smile a more complete look.
When your natural teeth have failed, often the best solution to replace them is dentures. Dr. Gronemyer and our team can fabricate full or partial dentures that will have you talking, smiling, and eating comfortably again. The fabrication and fitting process for your dentures takes a few appointments, but once they’re fitted, they feel remarkably comfortable.
Root Canal Therapy
Pain from an infected tooth can be excruciating. Root canal therapy — although most people associate it with pain — is typically the best way to relieve the pain and save the infected tooth. During root canal therapy, Dr. Gronemyer will scrape out the infected pulp and clean out the tooth. A crown will be placed over the tooth to keep future infections at bay and provide strength to the weakened tooth.
Wisdom Teeth Extractions
Wisdom teeth are an additional set of molars that often erupt during late teen to early adult years. Often, there isn’t enough room for these teeth to fit comfortably in the mouth, so extraction is necessary. If left alone, surrounding teeth could shift or the wisdom teeth could become impacted, leaving room for infection. Dr. Gronemyer will perform an exam and take digital X-rays of your mouth to determine if extraction is needed. If it is, he will walk you through the procedure and provide you with the necessary sedation during the surgery.
Your smile says so much about you, and it is often the first impression people have of you. Get a smile that you’re proud to show off with our cosmetic dental services.
If you find yourself hiding your teeth due to chips, cracks, gaps, or severe discoloration, porcelain veneers could be a solution. Veneers are thin sheets of porcelain that are custom crafted and bonded to the front side of your teeth to drastically change your smile. The veneers are created from a model you create with the help of Dr. Gronemyer and our smile preview software.
We offer two ways to whiten your smile. ZOOM!® in-office one-visit whitening can brighten your smile up to eight shades in a single appointment. If you prefer to whiten on your own time, we can create custom whitening trays for you to use at home in conjunction with our professional strength whitening gel. Dr. Gronemyer will suggest a whitening routine for you to follow at home to get the beautifully white smile you’ve always wanted.
The Academy of General Dentistry recommends that children visit a dentist when their first tooth erupts or by their first birthday. At Jay Gronemyer, DMD, we are happy to see children of all ages for a variety of pediatric dental services.
- Pediatric Exams & Cleanings
- Protective Sealants
- Fluoride Treatments
- Fillings (Silver & Tooth-Colored)
We want you to be comfortable with all aspects of your treatment while in our care. Dr. Gronemyer thoroughly explains all procedures with patients prior to beginning treatment. If at any point you are uncomfortable, let us know and we will gladly adjust our pacing to help you feel more at ease.
Additionally, for those who suffer from dental anxiety, we offer a number of calming sedation options to help you feel more relaxed during procedures. Although most patients report no lingering side effects, we recommend that you have someone drop you off and pick you up from your appointment if you will be undergoing sedation of any kind.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
We use nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, to help patients with mild to moderate dental anxiety relax during their treatment. The gas is inhaled through a mask during your procedure and induces a heightened sense of well-being and relaxation. When your procedure is over, inhaling pure oxygen for just a minute or two will completely reverse the effects of the gas.
Oral Conscious Sedation
For patients with moderate to severe dental anxiety, we offer oral conscious sedation. Dr. Gronemyer will carefully prescribe you a pill to take shortly before your appointment. By the time treatment begins, you will be completely at ease while also fully conscious, allowing us to communicate with you during the procedure.
Sedation Reversal with OraVerse
Once your procedure is over, there’s no need to deal with numbness in your gums, lips, or cheeks, which makes even basic activities such as drinking and talking difficult. An injection of OraVerse helps speed up the return of normal sensation following dental work. OraVerse is thought to increase the blood flow to soft tissue areas, allowing sensation to return within an hour or so, compared to two or more hours without medication.
RESTORE YOUR SMILE WITH Dental Implants
Are you missing one or more teeth? Do you wear uncomfortable or ill-fitting dentures? If so, dental implants may be able to improve your confidence and quality of life and have you wanting to show off your smile again.Don’t give up on your smile just yet!
Redmond dentist, Dr. Jay Gronemyer, is trained in all phases of implant dentistry, and he can give you a smile you’ll be proud to show off again.
What Are Dental Implants
Dental implants are small titanium posts that are inserted into the jawbone in place of missing teeth. The biocompatible material fuses with the bone tissue to form a solid foundation for a restoration like a crown or bridge to fill in the gap in your smile. Prior to beginning the implant placement procedure, Dr. Gronemyer will discuss the entire procedure with you, so you understand what will be happening, step by step. He will also gladly address any questions or concerns you might have.
Benefits of Dental Implants
- Dental implants are the preferred method of patients and doctors alike for replacing missing teeth.
- Implants are useful in stabilizing dentures when you are missing most of your teeth, or can be used in conjunction with crowns and bridges to replace one or two teeth.
- Restorations that are anchored by implants can help maintain the shape and function of your lips, jaw, and face.
- Best of all, dental implants look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth, so you’ll be smiling, talking, and eating with ease again in no time!
Dental Implants Restoration
Dr. Jay Gronemyer is well versed in dental implant restorations. Prior to your procedure, he will discuss your restoration options with you and help you determine which is best for you.
To replace only one or two missing teeth, Dr. Gronemyer will often place a crown, or cap, on top of the implant once it has fused with the bone tissue.
We use smile preview software to make a model of the crown, and then mill your crown based on this model, ensuring a more comfortable fit.
If you are missing most of your teeth, dentures are often the best way to replace them. Typical dentures, however, can slip and slide, irritating your gums.
Dr. Gronemyer can use dental implants that your dentures can snap into to help give you a new smile that stays in place.

Visit Our Redmond Dental Office
Dr. Gronemyer and our team offer quality dental care in an environment that is quiet, comfortable, and warm. We believe that a dentist office doesn’t have to be clinical, cold, and impersonal. We do everything in our power to respect your valuable time and to give you a pleasant experience while you’re in our care.
We understand that life is busy. Between work, school, extracurricular activities, and the day-to-day things that always seem to come up, it can be hard to schedule dental visits for the family. Our friendly staff is here to help you find the time that works best for your schedule, and our on-time appointments mean you won’t be sitting around waiting. Whenever possible, we also begin treatment the same day you are diagnosed so you don’t have to drive back and forth to multiple appointments.
We designed our office with our patients’ comfort in mind. Our practice is stocked with a variety
of modern amenities to help you feel relaxed and at home during your visit.
At Jay Gronemyer, DMD, we want our patients to be comfortable, and for their treatments to be efficient and effective. So we pride ourselves on offering Redmond families the most up-to-date dental technology, techniques, and treatments available.
Digital X-rays and digital panoramic X-rays not only emit less radiation than traditional dental X-rays – up to 90% less, in fact – but they also are available much faster because chemical processing of film is no longer required. This means we can go over our findings with you within seconds. Digital X-rays also help us detect potential problems earlier, meaning treatment can generally be more conservative.
Digital imaging, or smile preview software, lets us take pictures of your mouth and then display them on a computer screen. We then take these pictures and alter them to make a model of your smile based on your smile goals. This software is essential to procedures like porcelain veneers, crowns, and more.
Isolite® Patient Comfort System
The Isolite patient comfort system has a soft mouthpiece to shield your tongue and cheek during procedures, and a light to illuminate your mouth from the inside for more efficient treatments. It also has a place for you to rest your jaw, so you won’t leave our office with uncomfortable and annoying jaw pain.
Our intraoral camera allows us to show you what we see inside your mouth, so we’re able to walk you through diagnoses and treatments easier than ever before. It also helps us see areas of your mouth that might otherwise not be visible to the naked eye. This camera is also a vital tool for patient education.
Your First Visit
At your first visit to our office, we set aside extra time for Dr. Gronemyer and the team to get to know you. Our patients are like friends to us, and we enjoy developing long-term relationships with them, so our entire team takes the time to learn about you and your family, your dental health, and your overall goals for your smile. Your first cleaning, exam, and X-rays (if needed) will be completed during your first visit, too.
In order to expedite the check-in process at your first appointment, we invite you to download and fill out our new patient forms. Fill these out and bring them to your visit, and our front office staff will take care of the rest.
We know that oral health is often one of the first things to get pushed aside when money gets tight and that your family’s budget
is something to be respected. Our goal at our practice is to make high quality dental health care a financial reality for
our patients, no matter their income, age, or dental needs.
We accept a variety of payment options for services, including cash, most major credit and debit cards, and Flexible Spending
