Meet With Jay Gronemyer, DMD
Doctor Jay Gronemyer graduated from Oregon State University in 2002 with a BS in General Science, and a minor in Chemistry with a focus on pre-dental studies.
Additionally, in 2006, he earned his doctorate in Dental Medicine from Oregon Health and Science University. Furthermore, in his ongoing effort to offer the best care available, Dr. Gronemyer is active in continuing education and local implant study club.
Dr. Gronemyer is a third-generation dentist and lifelong Oregonian. Born and raised on the Pacific coast, Jay moved to central Oregon in 2012 to enjoy the good weather and adventure-filled lifestyle of the dry side of the mountains.
Not only that, with his young daughter June, old dog Sage, and adventurous wife Dusty, he can frequently be found outside when not in the office.

Dr. Gronemyer thoroughly explains all procedures with patients prior to beginning treatment. If at any point you are uncomfortable, let us know and we will gladly adjust our pacing to help you feel more at ease.
Additionally, for those who suffer from dental anxiety, we offer a number of calming sedation options to help you feel more relaxed during procedures. Although most patients report no lingering side effects, we recommend that you have someone drop you off and pick you up from your appointment if you will be undergoing sedation of any kind.

What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are small titanium posts that are inserted into the jawbone in place of missing teeth. Additionally, the biocompatible material fuses with the bone tissue to form a solid foundation for a restoration, such as a crown or bridge, to fill in the gap in your smile.
Moreover, they provide support for artificial teeth, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures. Essentially, a dental implant is a small post, usually made of titanium, that serves as a substitute for the root of the tooth. Subsequently, a connector, known as an abutment, is placed on, or built into, the top of the dental implant, which connects it to the replacement tooth.
Prior to beginning the implant placement procedure, Dr. Gronemyer will discuss the entire procedure with you, so you understand what will be happening, step by step. Furthermore, he will also gladly address any questions or concerns you might have.

Furthermore, we use smile preview software to make a model of the crown, and then mill your crown based on this model, ensuring a more comfortable fit.

If you are missing most of your teeth, dentures are often the best way to replace them. However, typical dentures can slip and slide, irritating your gums.
